Natural dihydrate gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) is also called raw gypsum. After calcination and grinding, β-type hemihydrate gypsum (CaSO4·1/2H2O) can be obtained, which is also called building gypsum, also known as plaster of paris and plaster. If the calcination temperature is 190°C, model gypsum can be obtained, and its fineness and whiteness are higher than building gypsum.

After the gypsum is calcined, it needs to be powdered, and the powdered gypsum has a wider range of applications and more applications in construction. Nowadays, powder factories have higher and higher requirements for mass production. Many bosses have requirements for mass production. They think that large-scale production lines are easier to maintain. In fact, this is a double-edged sword. Although the mass production of large-volume powder grinding mill is very large per hour, one device can complete a lot of mass production, but the maintenance usually takes longer, and the equipment cannot work during maintenance. If multiple small mills are used for joint production, these mills can be maintained at intervals. When one grinding mill is shut down, the other mills can work normally. 2. The finished product has a wide range of particle size, with a coarse particle size of up to 0.95 mm (20 mesh). The particle size of the fine powder is generally up to 0.033 mm (425 mesh). A small part of the material can reach 0.013 mm (1000 mesh).
